When dealing with style and beauty, there are certain points that you need to cover to ensure success. Although the points below are geared more towards fashion, the basic tenets hold true whether you’re marketing apparel, facial-care products, or anything related to style and beauty. Know your target audience 

Establish exactly whom you want to sell to. This involves knowing your overall style philosophy, price point, and your audience’s demographic. Knowing your audience allows you to identify the most effective PR avenues to employ, be it publications, blogs, websites, and whatnot. 

If you’re new, start small 

As a small label, you can’t expect to compete with the big guns right away. You can start by targeting fashion and beauty bloggers and then from there try to penetrate into the more mainstream traditional media outlets. 

Keep up with trends 

It can be tough to sell your products if you don’t keep a pulse on the industry, so know what the public is buying. Remember that, trend-wise, what they want is what’s happening now and tomorrow.
